SHEBA  Sheba joined my family in Sept 1997. She had been signed over to the RSPCA by a vagrant. They thought she would make a great police dog, but during her assessments, the vet said she was 3-4 years old not 6 months as they thought. When she came home she was extremely underweight, her paws bled on every walk we had. She had some serious issues and was abused by her previous owner but remained loving and gentle despite what she had been through. She was by far the most loyal of my dogs, she would have given her life for us, we were all that mattered. I had a very special connection with Sheba, she was my soul mate. After raising Skye our new puppy for 14 months, it was finally her time. She died in my arms on 9th Feb 2008 aged 15, I miss her so much and there isn't a day that goes by, that I don't mourn her. I find comfort knowing one day we will be together again.  |
